masjid is a place of sujood, or a place for prostration, doesnt have to be a temple, Prophet Muhammad said the world is his masjid, he can prostrate anywhere. it doesnt have to be built to be considered a place for sujood, the ground itself is enough to be considered a place for sujood hence, masjid,
