Moses and Jesus were Muslims?

Reader comment on item: More on the Muslim Claim to Jerusalem
in response to reader comment: Moses, Jesus, Mohammad are ALL Muslims

Whatever you were taught, it is wrong. The first Muslims were Mohammed and his wife in the 7th century. The Jews had a lengthy and legendary existence in Israel 1500+ years before Mohammed was born. Their ancient existence is proven by the wars against the Jews by the Assyrians and Babylonians who wrote _their_ histories on cuneiform tablets, wall carvings and inscriptions. There is no mention of Muslims til after Mohammed was born.

Yes, Muslims are part of the Abrahamic tradition. Mohammed told Muslims to add the Old Testament and New Testament into Muslim beliefs, from which Islam sprang. It seems his words have not been heeded.

Ahmed, if you are going to participate in discussions on Western websites, you will have to use real history and not history made up by early Muslims.
