The regime may be abhorrent, but the opposition (rebels) are Islamists.

In my mind, the only good Islamist is a dead Islamist. The "innocent citizens" caught in the middle are culpable through tolerating and fostering Islamisation that will only perpetuate suffering.

You can't apply a Western Humanitarian model to fascist barbarians. The removal of Saddam Hussein removed a cork that was suppressing far worse forces against the free world.
