Why is it so difficult to understand that past wrongs do not justify current wrongs?Reader comment on item: ISIS Justifies Its Yazidi Slaves Submitted by Prashant (United States), Oct 28, 2014 at 17:48 Dear Dr Pipes, Your reader Michael S called western objections the instances of slavery by ISIS hypocritical. He suggested that bible on occasions does support slavery and British did not outlaw slavery until some quite recet date in the past. Why is it so difficult to understand that just because these two facts may be true, ISIS' cruelty on Yazidi si not justified. Yes, Bible may allow slavery but most modern culturally and religiously Christian countries have not banned slavery. Can ISIS and its supporters also join the modern times?
