Hello Dhimmi,

I'm hoping the Guardian of the deen takes up the challenge presented . If he was not up to it - then he could settle for a secondary challenge of course . That would be gleaning information entomological institutions all around the world for information leading to the discovery of the arabic speaking ant colonies. Such an endeavour is made even easier these days - because of the availability of the latest scientific information on the internet. And of course the Guardian of the deen can even use Google Earth to find the correct valley. This pursuit could be paid for by a consortium of arab sheiks who are always keen to underwrite any sudy that proves the worth of islamic science and demonstrates its superiority over the feeble empirical methods used in Western science.

I'm assuming that the ants have not left their valley in the intervening years. Being so intelligent and having both speech (in arabic no less!) and the ability to formulate thoughts and a high level of situational awareness - these ants are bound to have thrived down the centuries and remained in their secluded location.

However - their very intelligence could make the search much, much, much harder. Being so self-aware and cognisant of their surroundings , the ants will certainly not want to become a scientific curiousity.

So they will not readily give away their true identities to Mr Guardian. They will pretend not to hear and understand and simply say nothing should Mr. Guardian find the valley and stumble upon their actual location. They'll simply disguise themselves as ordinary ants!

However, even if he fails in this quest, if he puts sincere effort into this search , Mr Guardian will become one of the greatest myrmecologists in the islamic world.
