Islamic actors are sins of commission. By and large US actions with Islamic terrorists, and by that I mean mostly Arab terrorists (when is the last time you heard that phrase?) are sins of omission. By that I mean even the most right-wing US administrations have sought to appease terrorists, and try to lead them by the hand to superficial respectability. They quietly laugh at US naivete. I always joke that perhaps Bin Laden was only trying to get the Nobel Prize like his predecessor Arafat.
