Not Moderate Muslims, but DEMOCRATIC Muslims

Reader comment on item: Islam vs. Islamism (article)

I keep meeting nice, cordial, well educated Muslims in Rotterdam. And one of them, Turkish, openly is saying that he considers the full democratic system the best way a society can organise itself, better than in any totalitarian Islamic way. The mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb, is both Muslim and member of the Socialist Party and totally committed to the core-principles of a democratic society. He once told other Muslims in Amsterdam: This is our way of organising society, if you don't like it, why don't you go to your or some Islamic country?!

In view of that; can we perhaps not distinguish between genuine Democratic Muslims and Totalitarian Muslims? Can we not tell the Muslims we expect them to make a choice between those 2 societal systems? Can we in future not demand from immigrants that they prefer and support the democratic over the totalitarian system? Not just in our lands, but also in Islamic lands?

Can we not let Muslims become (and stay?) citizens on condition they worldwide prefer our societal system in it's essences over that of the Islamic and other Totalitarian countries (like North Korea)? And can we not let them in on probation for say, 10 years?

Although Muslims could still lie about this, in order to please or deceive us, we still then present them with a logical, clear choice, one that they and even Political Correct, Leftist people can not very well protest against. We can even explain to them that all immigrants, even citizens can well be asked to openly make this choice. In order not to discriminate Muslims.

So; do not seek, count on: "Moderate Muslims", a vague term, which only seems to relate to lukewarm, ignorant Muslims, but seek and promote Muslims openly choosing the democratic system over the totalitarian one, for all nations. Who are thus choosing to side with all democratic countries and parties against all totalitarian countries and parties in case these 2 sides are in conflict?
