Israeli thickness

Reader comment on item: On Second Thought … Maybe that Israeli Apology to Turkey was a Good Idea
in response to reader comment: Sorry Daniel Pipes, I don't get this one

The Israeli street in no way has shown or expressed any faith in Erdogan changing or calming down his anti-Israeli stance. The apology was a chess-move, done as a part of a series of moves on the regional and international board. Let the man with the ego-driven rhetoric imagine he has humiliated Israel. In fact Israel defused Erdogan, and made him into a whining child who seeks superficial glory not even in Turkey's best interest. We, the people of Israel, have never been "thick" about thinking that men like that will change for us or anyone else.
