Reader comment on item: [Freedom House report on] Saudi Venom in U.S. Mosques

Submitted by Dan Katcher (United States), Feb 9, 2005 at 12:58

Some have counseled dialogue; dialogue is irrelevant, conquest and death to infidels is the ultimate goal. So let's be clear about not wasting our time, but recognize the enemy for what it is, something that does not have widespread understanding yet in this country. The Saudis will also claim that the tracts are irrelevant as they are printed in arabic. If true, why stock bookstores with books written in a language not understandable by the target audience; this is clearly a smokescreen if claimed. Those who purchase these books in this country can read and understand the language. They will be the next column in this country that will undermine us. Just because it may take many years for this to happen does not mean its not in the offing. Our enemies work on a different time line than us and we'd better learn to understand this in order to take effective action. The bottom line is that muslims and the saudis in particular are not our friends. This battle is ultimately for the survival of the US as it is presently constituted and needs to be fought in that context. Hopefully our leadership will wake up and do what needs to be done and discard the notion of political correctness which only retards our ability to respond appropriately and is skillfully manipulated by our enemies.
