Why the US academic institutions do not encourage 'revisionist' studies of Islam, Islamic countries and related issues? Don't you think that would hasten the process of self-doubt among the Muslims, so necessary for solving the Islam problem of the world? Remember journal like 'Problems of Communism'? How greatly it helped generate research and awareness in the academic world. Hence my query.
