Let's be civilized.Reader comment on item: What's the Goal in Libya? Submitted by Sigmund Silber (United States), Jun 23, 2011 at 10:52 In retrospect, Iraq was a mistake but at least it was legal in terms of U.S. law as Congress approved. Also the nation was traumatized and Iraq hadattacked Kuwait not that long before. Nevertheless it was a mistake. But even so we did not target the families of the leaders. We did not dump bodies into the ocean like a well-known organized crime organization. And probably we had good intentions. Our intentions in LIbya are certainly not honorable. Our intervention there is certainly not to protect civilians..our intentions are nefarious...as has become our Nation. We are now the World's leading terrorist nation. And anyone who thinks the U.S. would not stab Israel in the back is kidding themselves. We could just as easily stab the Palestinians in the back. We might stab them both in the back. For a little money or votes, anything is now possible with the U.S.
