Not so Abnormal

Reader comment on item: What's the Goal in Libya?

Submitted by Jay1 (United States), Jun 18, 2011 at 05:51

I think Dr Pipes is right in thinking that for now at least, a few Libyas may be the answer. Dr.Pipes rightly points out, what do we really know about the rebels? We are sort of winging it. But is Libya the only place where there should be only one country, instead of two or three or four? Should truely distinct peoples be held and called one? Is multi Aftghanastan really one country? Or Iraq? Is Dr Pipes idea really that abnormal to imagine three or four countries where there is one? Ask the people of old Yugoslavia.
