Dear Dr Pipes: Your reader Sirajin has many tough questions for Farrakhan. One of those questions (what have you done to ever ask Omar Al-Bashir of Sudan to stop killing our black African brothers?) is relatively easy to answer.

The philosophy that Omar Al-Bashir (and his ilk like Farrakhan) follow allows violence as a legitimate way to resolve differences with the people you disagree with. This philosophy also defines almost everyone who does not put the Islamic tag on himself as an infidel. And, this philosophy does not reward other common human bonds like "African brothers" important enough to be of any value. Any brother Arab, Persian, Afgahnistani or Pakistani can be a target as long as some idiot thinks that he is an infidel. Hence the killings all around the Islamic world. Islamic world needs a home-grown leader of Gandhi's resolve and stature to solve its problems.
