Reader comment on item: Farrakhan Demands Reparations from Jews
in response to reader comment: slave traders

Submitted by Edward Cline (United States), Jul 14, 2010 at 17:01

I might also remind Louis, as other commentators have done here, that for centuries (and probably still to this day), it was blacks who rounded up other blacks to sell as slaves not only to European slave traders, but to Islamic ones. Remember those two black bodyguards of Sherif Ali's in "Lawrence of Arabia"? Slaves. As well as Prince Feisal's bodyguards in the same film.

You must also be reminded that some historians estimate that the number of Europeans kidnapped into slavery well into the early 19th century -- kidnapped on the high seas and from sallies on countries as far north as Ireland by Moslem raiders -- to about two million. But, because they were white, one presumes that was okay with Louis Farrakhan. It was in the way of "reparations."
