I came upon this site/article while perusing online., ... I hate looking back for the sake of encouraging racial strife.

I agree with the person who said that all nations have been enslaved at one time or another. The enslavement of Africans is so prevalent in conversations because it was the most recent; a little over 100 years since the Emancipation. So, it is widely known...and discussed.

I had to laugh at the quote regarding the Black man and God put no light in his complexion, or however it was worded. Yet, this may be that he is Black, but God put a light in his soul, in his spirit. Because he is ready to forgive and so trusting. If it is indeed true that all of the atrocities of his slavery by so many nations, then it is indeed true of his indomitable nature.

Faced with such odds and much hatred, simply because God, Who made man in His image, chose to color his skin dark, even black in some instances, this race of people have determined to overcome their obstacles.

I agree with this statement from the Qur'an I heard long ago: "Not all your fingers on your hands are the same." So, yes, some people did some things, and some still do some things that are hurtful to other people. But, not everyone is bad. Look for the good and you will find good in your own heart.
