Dear Mr. Daniel Pipes, Did you know that every child that comes to this world is born a muslim. Ask youself what is the religion of a new born child. The child bears witness to the oneness of the creator who created this child in perfection. Only Allah claims to be the creator of all mankind. According to Allahs last prophet, Mohammed Mustafa (S,A,W,), all new borns are muslims, however it is their parents that convert them to other religions. Therefore Mike was a muslim, then converted to christianity and later on he might have reverted to Islam.

Yes the word should be REVERTED. Any African-American can choose what ever religion he or she likes, regardless of the fact what he or she has been doing in the past. THe beauty of Islam, which is the only way of life acceptable to Allah, is that any person that reverts to Islam, his past sins are forgiven by Allah. Thus the new muslim finds peace in this new life. However, we have to remember that the law of the land in which he has been living will not forgive him, simply because he reverted to Islam, therefore this person will be punished for his crimes. In the hereafter however he will be successfull, if he dies a believing muslim with good deeds. So please don't discourage people from becoming muslims. I invite you to revert to Islam too. Allah guides who he wills.
