I am not at all disturbed reading this interview which is but an animosity block buster western style hatred of Islam. It is indeed very easy to pass judgments without going into true exegesis of Quranic verses. What is more ridiculous is the western paranoia about black and white division created by a civilization's irrationality (appreciated by Freud); dominated by capitalistic greed and imperial plunder. It is easy tumbling to distort versions of HADITH without ever going into the health of a particular saying of the prophet and without considering the context.

Islam removed all divisions and gave an ideal human brotherhood .There is no coercion or repression in Islam—for God sake do not blame Islam for the doings of unbaked, unripe Muslims, who either due to personal whims or western hypocrisy(inserted and inseminated brains) have disfigured the true face of Islam. Prophet has not enslaved any one rather freed slave from the yoke of repression. It is very convenient to select a few verses, de-contextualize these and sprinkle an ink of western skepticism and self-doubt --epistemology galvanized by the Enlightenment discourse informed by utopian ideals.

I am surprised that western intellectuals have not been able to grapple with the monolithic edifice of Islam? There are a few standard historians who have been able to see the life of Prophet without any prejudice…Guidance is not for every one – this is Quarn's most perceptive argument. The duality (Manichaean or Pauline Christianity) is in western mind not in Islam.
