Reader comment on item: In Mideast, Bet on a Strong Horse
in response to reader comment: Israel must not commit to target killings in the world

Sorry, Israel targeting its enemies wherever they are doesn't make them the weak horse. The only way to beat your enemies is to become the strong horse by killing and terrifying them. Unlike the lowly terrorists who are ready to murder with the false promise of 72 virgins and aren't afraid of being killed, in sharp contrast, the terrorist leaders ARE afraid of being killed. That is why they try to run before being cornered and that is why they try to hide from those who would bring them to justice by killing them with Hellfire missiles and daisycutters.

We in the West are the weak horse because of blubbering self-loathing liberals like yourself who believe that if we kill terrorists and their leaders and those who sponsor them, it makes us just as bad as the terrorists, and that the way to look better than them is to turn the other cheek to atrocities like 9/11, which is such a wrongheaded way of thinking. The kid who gets beat up in the school playground is the kid who turns the other cheek or is too timid to unleash his strength on his attackers, even when everyone else knows he could overpower his attackers if he turned his mind to it. And lastly the UN Charter aids and abets our enemies, that is why it is discredited in the eyes of the growing numbers of rightminded people.
