Jesus Christ is the Truth - All Other 'truth' Rests on that Fact.Reader comment on item: The Middle Eastern Cold War Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jun 25, 2009 at 18:53 If we were to understand the difference of believing or not believing that Jesus Christ as LORD in a legal sense, then yes, one may suppose that unbelief is a crime in the spiritual sense. In the mortal realm, it is so for the for Muslims specifically, for they make criminals out of those who do not take their Qurans, their submission to the dictates of the Imams and Mullahs seriously. Punishment on the mortal level is exacted quickly and many times severely with cruelty. In times past, this has been done in the name of Christ as well, but sadly, in defiance of the Scriptures and not in consort with them. The use of the capitalized word Truth is in deference to the Biblical reference of Jesus Christ as Truth, as in the verse that describes Jesus as the Way, the Truth and the Life; that no man may come to the Father except by Him. Truth in Him is His possession, and it makes a believer in Him His possession as well, so yes to the exclusion of others. All religion without basis in spiritual truth is manipulation of humanity, the opiate if one so muses, of the masses to gain dominance over the minds of those who have heard of Jesus Christ and mistakenly rejected Him for the sake of pride. Islam may have a lead in the oppression of the minds of those who have so chosen, but even those who have hypocritically thought calling themselves Christian, without having His Spirit indwelling them to get to heaven, are in worse trouble. It is written that it would be better to have never known the name of Jesus before facing Him in judgment, than to have claimed Him without faith before facing Him at the Great White throne. In faith one can have the Holy Spirit, without trickery, by believing in Jesus Christ, in His truth, which will produce a relationship in Him that exceeds any fanaticism one might think to have in any other belief or religious practice. Each individual has to make his own choice, or reject it and be prepared, when one faces Him in the future, to face the consequences of doing so.
