I Agree with you, thebassguy, on Bible and Koran. However, the rest of your message is a complete misunderstanding.

in response to reader comment: Leave the Bible and Koran out of it

Of course Bible and Koran do not contain future, except in case when people believing in either will strive to actualize these prophecies.

Your remarks about racially mixed and multi-ethnic America seem totally misplaced. Nobody objects to this, and the conflict in the Middle East is not parallel to the situation in the United States.
In United States, unless we get taken over by the Muslims, everybody shares a common ground, which is our Constitution and Declaration of Independence. We all share common values of freedom and civil liberties enshrined in the 10 amendments (especially the first amendment).
Also, it is very important that USA is a huge country where people can move to be with the group they feel comfortable, and can move away from an environment where they don't feel they belong.

Situation with Israel is very different. It is the only Jewish country in the whole world, and it is tiny. Jews have nowhere else to go where they can protected themselves from Jew-haters.
Arabs on the other hand, have tens of Arab and Muslims states where they fit in just fine.

Additionally, Jews and Arabs don't share culture, nor the same values. So it is very different from America.
When it comes to values and priorities, Jews are mostly living in the 21st Century, while Arabs are mostly living in the 6th Century. This is especially the case in relationship to women, but also to civil liberties.
