The Cold War in the Arab (now Arab/Muslim) world has been going on since the early 1950s

It is encouraging to see the explanation of Dr. Pipes re a Middle East Cold War. More accurately it is a continuation of an Arab Cold War (modified by the late 20th century) into an Arab/Muslim Cold War. The rival groups have varied in different periods, as my chart below indicates.
