Honor killings becoming the norm in WNY

Reader comment on item: The Deceits of Bridges TV

It is horrifying the media refuses to report on honor murders. This is the third successful honor murder in western NY in the last several years. I believe it was only mentioned once by media because it involved a beheading and they called it 'domestic abuse'. I

In Rochester another honor murder was diverted because the woman survived. The family watched as a man tryed to stab his sister to death for 'being a bad muslim girl". This was condoned by the family and the muslim community of Rochester. The man told the police we was committing an honor killing yet the media discounted his statement.

How many "domestic abuse" cases are honor attacks, we will never know because they are covered up by the politicians, the police, the media and the court system.

Daniel Pipes replies:

Honor killings in this regard resemble Islamist terrorism, where there is also an implicit agreement among those same institutions to pretend it has not taken place. For more, see my article, "Denying [Islamist] Terrorism."
