Diplomacy and Mid-East don't mix.Reader comment on item: Israel and Syria going to war? Submitted by Oscar Navarro (United States), Jun 7, 2007 at 19:43 "Nice words have not made a nice world, from George Bush's failed War on Terror to the new "democratic" Iraq, it's time for diplomacy to put itself back into the arena of the real world." (from j) I think you're wrong on this one j. Bush has the right idea by tackling the terrorists head on. Since Bush declared a war on terror there have been many victories. Saddam and his terrorist regime are dead, Osama Bin-Laden is nowhere to be found (possibly dead), zero terrorists acts in the USA, the disintegration of the Taliban in Afghanistan, and combat troops - not innocent civilians - facing the brunt of terrorist attacks. If there is a failure to be mentioned, it's by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and the sissy Europeans who will hold on to their ankles rather than face the wrath of their oil masters. When it comes to negotiation, just ask what has it gotten the Israelis. Nothing but headaches and zero peace. What makes you think that Bush could have done better than the Israelis?
