Reader comment on item: Israel and Syria going to war?

I have a "gut feel" that Bashar-al-Assad is just a figurehead in Syria. Because of the importance his inherited name, the Syrian army brass &/or the Baath party use Bashar as the voice of their apirations. I fear that there will be a joint and coordinated missile attack from Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas this Summer. if this happens, I hope the Israelis crush the sources of these attacks regardless of the inhibitions placed on them by the US, the UN and the Europeans.
