Reader comment on item: Next Steps in Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process
in response to reader comment: the "peace process" needs a paradigm shift

Submitted by Yuval Brandstetter MD (Israel), May 29, 2007 at 15:32

talk about a handful, or a mouthful. Anyway, two comments

1. Jordan and Egypt have signed fraudulently just as much as Arafat. Arafat used proxies and conned everyone he was an innocent by-stander. So do Egypt and Jordan. Their proxies are the Arabs in Gaza for Egypt, and Arabs in Israel (from the river to the sea) for Jordan. Had these countries truly wished to make permanent peace they would have offered all those Arabs citizenship and got Israel to pay for it. Israel could easily have used all American foreign aid to do that. Remember: Arab pacts are worthless, unless enforced at the point of the bayonet. For examples see the Mecca agreements.

2. Arabs are unable to live in peace with others, unless they are outnumbered or cowed by force. Check out the exodus of britons from Britain and Dutch from Holland due to Arab and Muslim pressure. They are motivated by Jihad, which is beyond detoxification.
