What About Iran?Reader comment on item: Next Steps in Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process Submitted by Roger McKinney (United States), Feb 26, 2007 at 15:55 Very interesting discussion. It seems to me that the reason the Palestinians don't accept the defeat of their desire to eliminate Israel is that they always have had a nation backing their aspirations. Saddam Hussein financed and encouraged them for years, now Iran. It looks as though as long as Iran can stand up to the US, as Hussein did for years, Palestinians will hold on to the illusion that they can defeat the US, and therefore Israel. I think that unitl Iran is soundly defeated, and any other nation that takes up the cause of financing Palestinians, nothing will change. Palestinians must realize that there is no one left standing who supports their genocidal dreams. Unfortunately, it looks as though Russia is waiting in the wings to take over support of terrorists in Palestine once Iran is defeated.
