Yes, Iraq broke its contract with the U.S and U.N; however, of all the reasons we could have used/might have used to explain the invasion of Iraq, the one that WAS overwhelmingly used, almost to the exclusion of all others, was that Iraq had WMD.
Consequently, there are many who want to believe that the President deliberately lied. That is one issue. The other is the quality of the intelligence we receive. (Intelligence that convinced the U.S. Congress to support the President.) Are our intelligence agencies reliable? Are they as effective as they should be? Or are they -- or someone else along the way -- feeding all concerned mis-intelligence?
