Saudi Dilemma

Looks like a case of "damned if we do, damned if we don't" re: our support for the Saudi royal family. On the one hand, there is the lawsuit against the Saudi royal family for its negligence in funding terrorist organizations that led to the WTC disaster (1 Trillion dollars being sought on behalf of victims' familes). On the other hand, there is the ascendency of the regime of the followers of Osama Bin Laden, the popular choice of most of the Saudis. Democracy as we know it seems an elusive goal.
