american alliesReader comment on item: Analyst Calls for Redefinition of 'War on Terror' Submitted by Cpl (United Kingdom), Feb 2, 2007 at 01:59 As a British soldier, the comment that you have no allies is very offensive. We have stood by you through thick and thin since 9/11 and that's what you think? I know that we can't match you man for man, who can? But we do make a significant contribution and we have suffered losses like you. Not just in the combat zone but also on 7/7. I don't expect the UK to be feted like a hero but some recognition please for the British blood that has been spilt. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
