Reader comment on item: Rethinking the Egypt-Israel "Peace" Treaty
in response to reader comment: Agreements with Arabs

Submitted by Jeff Burke (Canada), Dec 8, 2006 at 10:07

One of the ramifications of Israel signing this Hudna treaty was that it terribly weakened Israel by denying them the vast oil reserves in the Sinai and of course to use the land for tourism, other sources of revenues and taxes and of courseto serve as a buffer between them and Egypt. Not to mention the additional space allowed for military training, especially its Air Force ( and of course the American Army training given the nature of the terrain).

It also weakened Israel by making it very dependent upon the US for foreign aid and thus rendered it malleable with regard to other future agreements. It also greatly strengthened the US influence over Israel to oblige it to enter into other conferences and processes ( ie Oslo and Madrid) if it wants to receive the annual $2B ching-ching.

It also weakened Israel by making it subservient to future American Administrations, who have not been very friendly. Especially those involving James Baker III or James Baker Version 3.0 of the law firm Baker Botts who represents the House of Saud and other clients in Saudi and Riyadh ( I wonder if they staff any women or Jews at these locations).

JB3 has never been a friend to Israel. In the 1980s he made a speech. " When you are serious about peace, call us at XXXX". The us referring to the White House. This I believe began the very painful process of Madrid and Oslo; Israel now had to show the uneducated world that it was indeed serious about peace.

2006; Baker Irag Study Group ( or Irag Surrender Group) - headed by JB3.

Appeasing his saudi masters, JB3 recommends that Israel return the Golan in return for cooperation from Iran and Syria. Should Israel foolishly return Golan in a future agreement with JB3 present and obviously laughing and grinning, Israel and the Jewish People are doomed

MUNICH REVISITED.

To the point > In order to regain the spirit and essence ofZionism, Israel has no choice but to invade the Sinai, threatening to use nuclear weapons. I see no othersolution for Israel to regain its standing and wean itself from the American nipple.
