If the Egyptians Are Not Idiots.Reader comment on item: Rethinking the Egypt-Israel "Peace" Treaty Submitted by Seamus MacNemi (United States), Jun 12, 2007 at 13:45 It would be extremely unwise for Egypt to initiate hostilities with Israel at this point for one very good reason. Egypt has a very large and prominent Achilles Heel in the Aswan Dam. One bomb of sufficient size would cause a flood that would wash the entire country into the Nile delta. The device wouldn't even have to be nuclear. A good size conventional bomb would suffice. Israel certainly has the ability to produce and to deliver such a weapon. Let us hope that more reasonable heads exist amongst the Egyptians. The fools in that country would call upon themselves their own destruction.
