Mubarak is the problemReader comment on item: Rethinking the Egypt-Israel "Peace" Treaty Submitted by Roger McKinney (United States), Nov 21, 2006 at 18:01 The former editor of Middle East, the daily newspaper in London, wrote recently that Mubarak has made a fool of the US and all the Arab world is laughing at us because we continue to give Egypt $3 billion per year in aid while Mubarak has used the state-owned media to stir up hatred of Israel and the US. To our face, Mubarak claims to be our friend and Israel's friend and that he wants peace, but in the state-owned media, he encourages hatred of Israel and the US in order to block any efforts on the part of the US to force changes in his dictatorship. The US State Department has to be the most gullible people on the planet, because they buy Mubarak's snake oil every year and claim it's Champagne!
