The pattern of these "agreements" has been clearly established. How is permitting 90% of the illegal weapons supplied to the Pali's not an Act of War? I am terrified at the indolence and ineptitude of the Kadima government; don't they understand they've already "missed the wave?"
Israel is faced with enemies on all sides, now armed with weapons giving them parity or close to it. Meanwhile, Kadima diddles and dithers away any advantages Israel may have had; chief among these advantages was the administration of GW Bush. Instead of permitting the IDF a serious undertaking to beat Hizbullah into SUBMISSION giving them a serious thrashing, OLMERT, PERES, LIVNI, BARAK et al undertook a TV propaganda blitz in the US while they were tying the hands of the IDF & IAF.
Bush was way out on a limb, resisting pressure from the UN,EU, GB and the entire world by refusing to demand Israel agree to a cease fire. He bought Israel time with his "approval points" in polls, and absorbed the anger. How was he thanked for this courageous performance?
Kadima "moderated" and played at war, spending the blood of young Israeli's and Bush's to boot. NOW, Israel will face a weakened Bush with a House and Senate with Majority of anti-Israel, pro-Arab congressmen, AND the Permanent Foreign Policy Establishment, historically Arabist. James Baker, as Sec.State, was the architect of the $10B loan holdup which blackmailed Israel into submission. 87% of American Jews voted AGAINST BUSH and his need for a majority.
The suicidal Israeli and American Left are in the process of taking us all down. We no longer have the luxury of ignorance of history. No longer will we be able to pretend that "peace" is possible with people who, no matter what the "perqs" or "threats," maintain their adamant demand that Israel be no longer permitted to exist. Our ability to understand words and phrases as spoken has been degraded to the point where, if a Hitler were to stand up with smiling and reasonable voice, mouthing all the obscenities he used to mouth, our children and many of us would not be able to wrap our minds around his meaning.
We'd read in the NYT, WP, LAT, & Ha'aretz, how pleasant this man was and how the crowd loved him and what a wonderful tailor he had. I wonder what we will be "thankful" for next Thanksgiving Day. If our elected leaders do not get serious, and if "We the People" do not stop electing "woof ticket salesmen" instead of statesmen, I tremble at the thought of the consequences. ma
