Dear Mr. Pipes,

Your words describing America's leader at the moment of decision are as vivid and real as if you had painted them with oil upon canvas. All who read must be filled with the same melancholy that fills my soul upon the realization of what may await us all just around the corner.

Many years ago a Disneyland attraction for General Electric played a song that contained the following words: Oh..there's a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day.....and tomorrow's just a dream away..". As the Carousel of Progress turned ever so slowly, hope seemed to leap out from the stage into our hearts. Silly to think of that simple thing now. I wish my grandchildren could come with me back to the 1960's.... further back to the 1950's. I wish they had the tomorrows that have made up my lifetime.

Please stay strong and unafraid, my friend. People of good will throughout the world depend upon you and other watchmen on freedom's wall to continue on with courage. There are so many men and women who stand with you. We nod our heads in agreement as we read the words you write. We pray for you and your family.
