We are the only idiotsReader comment on item: Decision Time on Iran Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), Nov 9, 2006 at 10:46 Iran has got a very strong Islamic identity. Turkey is a secular- Muslim country, with a very strong Turkish identity. Israel is not a very religious nation, but they have got a strong Jewish identity. America has no official state church, but there is a strong American culture. What do we have, in Europe? In Italy, Christian crosses are removed from schools, because this might offend non-Christians. In Germany, the nation of Martin Luther and the Reformation, crosses are replaced by crescents. We (let me talk in the plural, please) are the only idiots who don't have any kind of identity, be it Judaeo-Christian, secular European or whatever. Ask the Islamic Republic of Iran if they can allow a Bible-study school in downtown Teheran.
