The love of money is the root of all sorts of evil

Reader comment on item: Why Corporations Fund Radical Islam

Submitted by Bill Fox (United States), Oct 11, 2006 at 13:45

The love of money and political correctness are driving companies and people to say things they do not believe and kowtow to what they know is false. The love of Truth should trump the love of money, but sadly, people feel compelled to compromise truth because of fear of boycotts or harm. For example, the murderous Muslims kill innocent people, someone comments that they are murderers, the Muslims are offended and murder more. The commentators apologize for offending the murderers in order to keep their jobs.

This absurdity borders on mental illness! Americans used to be strong and stand for truth. Sadly, the masses have become brainwashed into believing a higher virtue than truth is political correctness, which practically speaking is political cowardice. If this doesn't change, America will continue going to its knees, apologizing for noticing truth. Edmund Burke, the English philosopher once said, "All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

It's not that we cannot win this war on terror or snuff out evil, the sad truth is good men are "doing nothing" when they allow polital correctness, rather than truth, to win the day.
