Sir,

I am very asurprised that such a leftwing rag such as the Globe & Mail - albeit a very large left wing rag would even considering printing a story thateven mentions the word Muslim.

Whenever they have, including the Montreal Gazette, they are nearly always portrayed as sympathetic individuals acting on their own, extremists of course.

The media has also made the decision to educate us on the festivals of Islam and at the time of ramadam prints an entire lexicon of defintions. It does not, of course do this for any other religion.

As a former employee of the Federal Government, I recall one day the employees in my section were told that all discussions about the Middle East were not to be tolerated.

Of course any discussion of the violence in Ireland was of course to be permitted.
