Nothing I read about Muslims surprises me

Reader comment on item: Trouble in Londonistan

What is surprising is the openness and honesty by Muslims and this honesty belies the belief that Muslims are under a severe watch by authorities. If Muslims were so concerned and worried about police observation of their community, they would never answer any survey by admitting support for jihad or sharia law and would never express admiration for any terrorist especially the 7/7 bombings.

Such honesty shows that Muslims in Britain are so secure that they can voice opinions which are openly hostile to the non-Muslim majority even expressing admiration for suicide bombers.

The same is true in Israel as well where Arab Knesset members express support for Hamas bombings and the recent kidnapping. They are so utterly sure of not suffering any harm either to their person physically or by the government as a traitor and fifth columnist that they grant interviews showing agreement with Hamas. And why not as many of them openly held positions with the PA under arafat in addition to holding their Knesset seats.

In truth, Muslims use Western democracies in much the same manner as the mafia does which is by taking advantage of every freedom while in actuality despising those freedoms. However, mafia members on a personal level have been known to be a patriotic and have served in the armed forces. Many mafia members seem to draw a line between their own criminalty and the enemies of the democracy where they practice their criminality. Muslims on the other hand are the enemy. And I am purposely not limiting that accusation to merely al quaeda members as poll after poll show varying Muslim degrees of pro-terrorist sentiment or open scorn for democractic values.
