Truth is not Politically Correct

Reader comment on item: "[Symposium] On the Strip: Where To Go from Gaza?"

Submitted by Michael (United States), Jul 1, 2006 at 12:29

The truth is that all religions are not equal, not morally equivalent. Some have destructive values. For example, The Assassins were a religous order, as were the Sacari. Murder and mayhem were religious tenents of both. Today they are seen as an anathema of their times and both were Middle Eastern. A religion that promotes mass murder and war, hate over love of those they disagree with, enslavement of others and world immolation must be rejected in the strongest terms. The idea that someones feelings may be bruised if these things are the subject of debate is too ludicrous for words.
