ahmad zafire, when I come to the Daniel Pipes website and read the articles as well as the responses, I learn a lot more about what goes on in the Middle East as well as the different viewpoints. This should be encouraged.

As far as for the issue why Christians have the visible Cross of Christ, here is a simple response. The first reason is because of the great love that Jesus has for those who put their trust in Him that He would offer to suffer and die for love of us on the Cross. Love is for Him spreading His arms for us on the Cross. Also it is a reminder of the redeeming work of Christ and the sheding of His blood for the forgiveness of sins. The visible Cross is not an idol because in the Christian faith, Jesus is part of the most Holy Trinity, three persons in One God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Ten Commandments command to not worship idols applies to not worshiping power, money, things, yourself, ete. Christians worship an unseen God also and full faith is is worship of what is not seen. How Christians worship and pray in both public and private and the different Bibles read is a good sign of the diverse approach to worship God. Each must be respected. There is too many examples for me to point out, but in the end, it comes down to worship of God in spirit and in truth.
