Dr. Pipes ForgetsReader comment on item: "[Symposium] On the Strip: Where To Go from Gaza?" Submitted by Stuart (United States), Jun 30, 2006 at 19:52 I agree with everything Dr. Pipes says in this article, but he either forgot or omitted one important thing. While true the conflict in Israel, Chechnia, Kaskmir, and against the U.S. all all different parts of the same conflict only Russia which has a community of interest with the U.S., Israel and India, has seen fit to ignore the community of interest and aide the Islamists in the other conflicts. Perhaps Dr. Pipes could explain the reasons for this perplexing conduct. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: Putin did understand this fact a few years ago and now has changed, for reasons I am unable to explain.
