Islam never was , never is and never will be open to discussion and reform. There may be that rare moslem wishing that his society be reformed, but he will be history if he starts voicing his opinion openly in his community. At the most you will get some empty lip service from moslems which will do no good apart from the feel-good factor. Don't ever think that english or better education will liberate or reform moslems, it will only make smarter jehadis. The problem here is not Arabic but radical islam, which will require a much more harsher ideology with a "dirtier that thou" approach to counter its evils.
