Sorting the canary island problem
Reader comment on item: West Africa - Europe's New Border
in response to reader comment: how to solve the Canary Island problem

Submitted by rien (United Kingdom), May 13, 2006 at 09:07

That is an excellent suggestion that needs and can be enforced overnight, a clear message need to be sent that no further illegal immigration can be tolerated.

There is no reason for Canary Island to absorb the poverty of Africa and the inaction of the Spanish administration is absolutely unnaceptable.

The words seem to be spreading in Africa that Canary Island are an open door to Europe and all immigrants go for it.

Thanks to Mr Zapaterro for his legalisation law of the illegal immigrant that have reinforced the message that Spain is a heaven for African immigration.
