Why did CAIR really want access to GETS?Reader comment on item: Telephoning the Enemy Submitted by Deborah Fillman (United States), Apr 25, 2006 at 14:11 I was just wondering why CAIR would really want access to such a system? Why on earth would they want access to the same channels first responders and our government use in times of crisis? What do they know that we don't??? Given their ties to terror, it would seem scary that they even wanted GETS at all. Did they think it would be helpful during an attack to know where our rescuers would be so they could advise allies of theirs on how to cripple us further? Maybe I'm parnaoid, but the notion that they feel they need such a system is as alarming as the thought that someone might have given it to them.
