Reader comment on item: Telephoning the Enemy
in response to reader comment: American Islamic Organizations

Carol, you made some excellent points. We've got a real problem all right. They are primarily, but not limited to, the media, academia, and politics.

The media is disingenuous to the extreme, the university elites live in a theoretical world and many hate this country, and the politicians pander to whoever they think will help put them in power or keep them there.

There are many Americans who feel the way you do; however, so many are just apathetic and more interested in who gets thrown off of American Idol this week; they are not paying attention to what is happening to our country. Conversely, those who are trying to bring this country down are dedicated to their cause and highly motivated.

Just look at the recent illegal immigrant demonstrations. Illegals flying Mexican flags telling us they have a right to be in our country because the land rightfully belongs to them! But does the MSM cover this? These demonstrations were highly organized by groups such as International ANSWER, MECHA, LaRaza. Who is there to organize the average American? The globalists want the cheap labor, the far left wants the cheap votes.

I totally agree that Americans must wake up or one day they will awaken from their stupor and wonder where the heck their country went. By then it will be too late. What can we do? Try to educate ourselves and our family and friends one person at a time. Get involved any way you can. Heaven knows we cannot depend on the news media to give us the facts.
