According to the muslims I have spoken with, Muhammed is among the long line of Prophets and all are honored equally be it Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Solomon & Jesus, yet when Jesus is portrayed, lynched or not, in the media and arts, there is no backlash.

Example, the TV show "Southpark" left out Muhammed and ridiculed Jesus, to show that Christians do not "jihad" over freedom of expression.
