I watched the inauguartion of the new American President last night and I saw all the hooplah and joy of his victory against a back drop of Islamist Anti Semitic demonstrations and calls for a renewed holocaust against Jews and a call for the destruction of Israel. My blood ran cold.
Is this the America that my father fought and died for? I think not! Neither is it the America that I believed in when I enlisted as a volunteer reservist in the Israeli army during the Yom Kippur war. What I see is a mockery of all that I believe in and hold dear.
Many in my community are like me, retired military. It is the general consensus here that the Palestinians in Gaza are reaping the just rewards of the seeds of hatred that they have sown.We have little sympathy for them as we see that they have squandered every chance they have been given to better themselves, They have taken the millions of dollars we have given them and instead of building a nation for themselves based upon the principles of democracy and law they have used it to continue to make war upon Israel. We can no longer trust their promises and we can no longer believe in them as a people.
There is a growing sense of frustration amongst us and a growing unwillingness to give them any credence at the bargaining table. We are fed up with their lies.
I have heard Muslims say that the streets of America will run red with blood. If that is true it will most likely be Muslim blood.
