CAIR
Reader comment on item: CAIR Backs Down from Anti-CAIR

Submitted by D Williams (United States), Apr 22, 2006 at 02:57

Daniel,

It has been sometime since I have written you, but this last newsletter I felt required a reply.

I applaud your efforts and wish heartily that I was qualified to apply. As I have watched the propaganda put out by our own news agencies, Hollywood, and now CAIR commercials I am struck dumb by the "tolerance" to the daily assault on America. Worse yet, these tactics are extremely effective in using the inner guilt that most Americans carry around in their hearts.

I fear that these tactics will win out when the typical America is too fearful, uneducated, and spineless to respond with the pride they should. I fear the only thing holding the American male upright is the starch in their shirts. The exception to this is out personnel in uniform and those that are supporting them.

This country while not perfect has donated more money to needy countries than almost all others combined. True we are not perfect and we make mistakes, but we have also built more schools and hospitals, than other countries. We have developed medicines and increased quality of life and the life span to all countries around the world. Yet still we feel guilty. We have enacted a bill of right, and civil rights that has been tested and found true and strong.

Yet still we feel guilty. Further, Islamic countries bring/send their children here for education, and we gladly fill their heads with needed knowledge and receive what in return? Guilt! A well educated enemy finds our flaws and uses that against us. How else could the enemy highjack airplanes destroy two billion dollar buildings, the center of our military power, and kill thousands and the people of America feel what? Guilt! Certainly there was outrage at first, but now we see CAIR commercials telling us how tough it is to be a Muslim in the US. Yet do they insist upon an accounting of where their donations go? Do they hold their clerics feet to the fire?

No of course not, they cannot. They do not live in a society where they can do so. Yet they are willing to tear down our society, and institute a caliphate that would prevent all societies from ever being free again. Further opposition will be met with a machete.

Again, Mr. Pipes, I salute you.
