Hi Frank,

Been there, signed up (the petition that is).

I don't have the good fortune to be a Great Dane but as a good neighbour (UK) you have the support of many here and I happen to know, from personal experience, that the beauty of your country makes the ugliness that we are presently seeing so much more obvious. Like a beautiful women with an ugly nose. Let's make sure that Denmark gets the metaphorical 'nose job' that she needs - before this disease spreads to the rest of her face!

Given a choice between support for a culture that produced Hans Christian Andersen and a culture that produces a succession of nothing but Mad Mullahs the Great Danes will ALWAYS prevail!!

Don't feel too isolated or deserted. You DO have friends in the UK and US but thinking long-term, and at the bigger picture', the combined U.K and U.S presence in Iraq and Afghanistan and their perceived 'war against Islam' would make it very imprudent to join in this mess. A show of Christian solidarity at this stage wouldn't accomplish very much. I firmly believe that when the Danish Muslims who caused this problem forged the three additional images of Mohammed showing The Prophet engaged in acts of beastiality, etc it was with the intent of polarising the conflict into East vs West. They haven't succeeded in doing this and the fact that they've been a) seen to turn on yet another country (rather than The West as a whole, or the UK or US individually b) the fact that they've received sympathy from the two countries at the top of their 'Satan List' (UK & US) can only serve to depolarise the issue in Muslim minds and in doing so weaken their resolve. It may sound like baloney but it really does make complete sense to me. I genuinely believe that it is the 'smart' move to - "Confuse Your Enemy" (The Art of War)

But thank God that there is only one France. On the one hand the French will re-publish these cartoons (France Soir) and on the other hand the largest French supermarket chain (Carrefour) withdraws Danish products from its shelves!! I hold the French in lower contempt that I do the Islamic fundamentalists - at least they're consistent! The French are guaranteed to sell their souls to the highest bidder. Vive la Sarkozy!

One question, Frank - why the heck haven't you arrested the Danish imams that aggravated the situation and created the additional cartoons (that weren't actually published) for distribution in the Middle East? It's the additional pictures that started the international outrage - not the original pictures themselves. Arrest them, chop their heads off (after all the Muslims want the 'culprits beheaded' according to the protestors I saw in London), and mail the heads to the Lebanese embassy in a nice, gift wrapped box with a pink ribbon on top! End of problem!!
