Dr. Pipes,

The first results of the 2020 election were from Vermont and it is truly a very white state and as expected Biden got 66.4% of the vote and Trump 30.8%!

https://www.google.com/search?q=electoral+map+vermont&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS864US867&oq=electoral+map+vermont&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i22i30i457j0i22i30.11570j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

And for the sake of comparison I compared the results in the state next door and it is New York State

As you will see in the map in the link that the entire state is almost red with few blue pockets in Albany, Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse and NYC

https://www.fox5ny.com/news/2020-election-results-electoral-college-map

Notice the following counties went red

1. Suffolk (Trump 56% v Biden 43%)

2. Nassau (Trump 50% v Biden 48%)

3. Staten Island (Trump 66.4% v Biden 30.8%)

4. Compare it with Manhattan (Biden 85% v Trump 14%)! Absolutely shocking and levels at par with what one would find in an election in a Banana republic.

Notice that Staten Island is now the favorite borough of immigrant communities in NYC because Staten Island still have affordable homes and apartments in NYC

Also notice that the rest of NYS is very multiracial when compared with Vermont which could very well explain why almost the rest of the state is red.

This is the reality today that the ethnic vote will be the majority and the Democrats just do not get it

Today's Democratic party is what the Republican party used to be some 50 years ago, the party of white folks and the rich elite in Manhattan and the West Coast
